Kids Martial Arts

Freestyle Martial Arts Training With WAIMA Could Save Your Child’s Life…

But, not in the way you’re probably thinking…

There’s no question that kids martial arts training will give your child self-defence skills that could save your child’s life at some point, but the biggest enemy your child faces is not some evil person lurking around the corner…

The enemy most children face, every single day, is far more devious.

It can rob them of a happy and healthy childhood and even prevent them from becoming successful as adults.

This enemy is a lack of confidence, and it can have a lot of symptoms…
  • Bad grades
  • Getting into trouble
  • Disrespectful attitude with others
  • Laziness around the house
  • Trouble making friends
  • Shyness
  • Getting into fights

Our martial arts program has helped thousands of kids become more confident and put them on the right path, regardless of how hopeless the situation might have seemed initially.

Here’s an example of…

One Of The Most Extreme Cases Of Shyness We Had Ever Seen

14 years ago we met a young man called Tom.

Tom’s parents had heard about the huge strides forward our students had made by joining our martial arts program and were hoping we could help their son too.

You see, Tom was clinically deaf – which his parents said had made him extremely shy and lacked self confidence.

But, after Tom had expressed an interest in martial arts after seeing a WAIMA demo, his parents figured they had nothing to lose by giving us a shot.

There was just one problem…

During his free introductory lesson…

Tom Was So Frightened Of Meeting Other People He Refused To Leave The Car Park

However, we had seen time and time again how our martial arts program had done wonders for kids with all sorts of problems, so we refused to give up.

We knew Tom would be no different and that we could help.

That’s why one of our instructors gave Tom the free introductory lesson right by his parent’s car, until he felt safe enough to go inside the building.

Fast forward to 14 years later, and…

Want to develop your child's confidence and leadership skills?

Tom Is Now Living a Happy Life… And He’s a 3rd Degree Black Belt!

To hear Tom tell it, the training he received at WAIMA has completely changed his life for the better.

It made him feel confident, gave him a higher self-worth, and he learned that his disability does not define him.

These days, Tom has never met a stranger, enjoys spending time with his friends and family, and he’s doing the job of his dreams… teaching classes here at WAIMA.

And trust us, you’d never know that Tom was the shy kid that refused to leave the car park all those years ago.

But It’s Not Just Kids Like Tom Who Need WAIMA…

WAIMA helps any kind of kid that goes through the program whether they’re shy, struggling to get good grades in school, or having disciplinary issues…

Here’s one of the toughest cases we’ve seen…

Two Boys Have Their Mum at The End of Her Rope With Their Bad Behaviour

Brandon (age 11) and Cameron (age 15) were both diagnosed with ADHD and had their poor mum at her wit’s end…

To make matters worse, their father was working away in the Defense Force, leaving mum to deal with the boys all by herself.

They were talking back and swearing at their mother constantly…

Their grades were terrible and getting worse (when they actually went to class)…

And, any discipline effort by their mum just made the boys laugh in her face.

Their mum felt completely powerless and was afraid the boys would end up getting into drugs and alcohol, drop out of school, and have problems with the police.

She heard about WAIMA and learned about the success that the martial arts program has had with other kids with disciplinary issues…

She decided to bring her boys in to see if WAIMA could help.

It was a disaster.

In fact…

One of The Boys Told The WAIMA Receptionist to ____ Off!

When the receptionist was checking the boys in, Cameron said, “______ off! This is a bunch of ____!”

Brandon chimed in, “Yeah, we don’t want to _______ be here… Let’s go home, mum.”

The boys’ mum hung her head in complete embarrassment…

She had experienced this before and was sure they would be booted and asked to never return…

Their devastated mum was just about to grab the boys and leave to avoid even more embarrassment, but then one of our instructors walked in, and something happened that day that had never happened before…
